The warm hot tub is wonderful in the winter when the bay is cold. The hot tub is great in the summer to cool down and when there are jellyfish in the bay. The hot tub is the best when it is a clear cool night and you turn off all the lights in the home to look at the stars.
The tub is typically set to 80 degrees when you arrive at the home. In the hot summer that may be perfect. In the cold you will want to typically set that to 95-105 degrees. When you arrive, the tub will typically be set to 80F – it will take about 2-3 hours to go from 80F to ~98F with the lid closed.
The temperature is set on the front panel – the leftmost two buttons are for decreasing/increasing the temperature. The range is 80-110 degrees. In the winter, a comfortable temperature is probably in the ~98F range. In the summer, 80 degrees may be perfect to cool down.
Always keep the lid closed when not in use – both from a safety and energy use standpoint.
Before using the hot tub, please rinse off your feet to avoid getting it full of sand. You can either use the showerhead down by the swing OR just use the hose at the end of the driveway. Also, please don’t use soap or shampoo in the water – it is so much work to clean the hot tub afterwards.
TO OPEN THE HOTTUB COVER
STEP 1: UNCLIP TWO FRONT CLIPS
STEP 2: MAKE SURE BLACK BAR IS DOWN AND LIFT FRONT HALF OF COVER UP AND OVER
STEP3: DROP FRONT HALF OF COVER DOWN AND BACK SO THE TUb LOOKS LIKE IN THE PICTURE
STEP 4: GO TO THE SIDE OF THE TUB AND CAREFULLY LIFT UP THE FOLDED COVER. THE COVER WILL STAY AS IN THE IMAGE.
WHEN DONE USING THE TUB, OPEN THE FRONT LEFT COVER WHERE THE FILTERS ARE, PRESS THE CLEAN BUTTON ON THE FRONT PANEL (bottom right button), AND PUT IN ABOUT 1 TABLESPOON(about half the lid of the container) OF THE ChLORINE GRANULES THAT ARE UNDER THE WOOD BENCH SEAT TO THE LEFT OF THE hot tub (see image below.) THE CLEAN CYCLE WILL STOP WHEN DONE AFTER 5-10 MINUTES – IF IT doesn’t PRESS THE CLEAN BUTTON ONE MORE TIME TO STOP.
PUT COVER BACK DOWN AND PUT ON CLIPS AGAIN WHEN DONE.
