The property is not called the edge of the world for nothing. As you approach Scotland, you will feel like you are stepping back in time. Here are some tips and recommendations.

• An SUV is recommended if you want to minimize the risk of getting stuck in sand OR having to wait for low tide. That being said, we have a Prius and the sand can be dealt with some gentle driving – but the water level is something you will need to plan around parts of the year. If you have lowered your car, you won’t want to take that car to this home.
• It is recommended to arrive during daylight hours if this is your first time visiting.
• The last major grocery stores are in California on Rt 5 near the Pax base, about 25 minutes before you reach the home. There is a Dollar General in Ridge which is about 10 minutes away.
